Washed sand media offer the perfect balance of stability without compaction and optimal aerobic air-water ratios in the root zone, all without the risk of overwatering. Here, plants themselves dictate when to drink and when to breathe. Water is introduced directly to the roots, and as the plant transpires, new water automatically rises into the root zone through capillary action from the sub-surface reservoir. This unique water film, coupled with ample oxygen in the sand voids, creates an ideal environment for robust plant growth. With EPIC, irrigation demands are dramatically reduced as every drop is maximized for exceptional results.
