The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) installed a new storm water filter at their maintenance yard. The Environmental Passive Integrated Conveyance (EPIC) system acts as a storm water filter conveyance. EPIC collects storm water along the perimeter of their headquarters facility in Carson City, NV. Storm water is captured and treated within the aggregate profile to be filtered. Furthermore, the non-clogging EPIC chamber has passive oil / grease separation because of the patented offset interface holes. As a result hydrocarbons are kept from entering the watershed. The oils are bio-degraded due to microbiological processes found in nature. Therefore storm water is filtered and improved. Hence, clean runoff from the NDOT materials and equipment site filters into the local watershed.
