In the summer of 2016, Paradise Unified School District upgraded to an EPIC system sand sports field at the High School in Chico, CA. The EPIC system improves storm water management with a sand base that offers superior drainage without any surface pooling. The shock absorbancy of sand makes a safer, more playable surface for the campus students and visiting teams. A deeper root system in the sand field creates better quality turf, while the passive irrigation function of the EPIC system conserves irrigation water demand by more than 50%. The install construction was completed by EPIC certified RR Horn General Contractors.
